How to Crack the Hash Code using Dictionary Attack ?

Dictionary Cracking Method:
This is second type of Cracking the cipher text. Trying all known passwords is known as Dictionary attack. Usually users will set simple password like 12345,54321,ilovemom,one4three,143,iloveyou.etc.


How to Crack the Hash Code using Dictionary Attack ?
First of all store the possible passwords in a text file. This file is known as Dictonary.

Algorithm: 
Cracking Step 1:
Now get the password from the Dictionary as input and encrypt it.
Step 2: 
Now the compare the created Hash code with original Hash code.
Step 3: 
Case i: if it is not equal then go to the step1 and follow the instructions
Case ii: if it equal then display the password.
Step 4:
What else you have successfully cracked the Hash code . Enjoy.

CONCLUSION:
For Hackers:
you can try this Dictionary cracking method until you know completely about the user. Also sometime may set difiicult password like ae73kd3deo^ . In this time you can not use this cracking method. As you don't know about the password strength, you can try this method first. If it fails to find,then go with Brute Force Attack. 

For Security needers:
If you really want to protect your account,then set the password like iloveyou,ilovemom,12345. Instead set a strong password so that hackers can not crack your password "easily".

What is Brute Force Cracking Attack?|| Cracking HASH passwords

Hi friends, If you don't know about cracking encrypted or ciphered data using Brute Force attack,this article will help you to gain much knowledge about the Brute Force attack. 

What is Brute Force attack?
Brute force attack is one of the password cracking method. In this method we are not decrypting the passwords. Instead we are trying to crack the password by comparing different combination of characters (all possible keys) with hash code. 



How ?
Let us assume the password length is 3. we have characters set(abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789) excluding the special characters.

The Number of Permutation takes to crack the password:
For first character :upper case letters(26 )+Lower Case Letters(26)+10 Numbers =62
Likewise for second and third character we have 62 different ways.
So the total permutation to produce different keys is =62*62*62=238328 ways. 

If you include the special characters in character set,then the permutation to crack the password will increase. 

The main problem with Brute force attack :
If the password length is small,then it will be cracked in small amount of time. This method will take too longer time to crack lengthy passwords. It can take several hours, days ,months ,years.
The time depending upon the two factors :
Password Length
Upper case and lower case letter combinations.

How to Identify Fake Profiles on Facebook

There have been so many instances when people have been lured by fake profile users only to get disappointed later. Not only this, but many fake profiles have also rendered emotional harm to people by spreading their personal photos on sleazy websites.

There have also been instances where the people behind the fake profiles have even abetted others to commit suicide by resorting to bullying and blackmailing. It is even riskier, if teenagers are handling their Facebook accounts, as they easily fall prey to these impostors.

There are a few impostors who will craftily prepare a profile that will look exactly like a real one to deceive you and many others. However, hope is not lost. By acting like a detective and investigating the requests before adding them, you can easily find out if an account is fake or real. Here are a few tips that will tell you how to spot a fake Facebook account.Fake-profile.jpg

1.  Look for photos in the profile.If there is only one photo of the individual in the whole profile it makes it quite clear that the account is fake.

2. Look for status updates,wall posts and comments.If the user hasn’t updated a status for quite a long time and hasn’t been involved in any wall posting or commenting of other statuses,it means that the profile is likely to be fake.

3. Look at the recent activities.If it is that the user has just been adding randomers and making new friends,and that there are no pages liked or groups joined,it suggests that the user is determined in jst adding people and hence the profile is fake.

4. Check out the friend list.If found that maximum of the friends are of the opposite gender,it can be assumed that the profile is used either for fun or for random dating.

5. Check the info.If found that there is no ideal links given regarding school or education institutions or workplace and that the user is looking for dating and interested in both men and women,it shows signs of fakeness.

6. Check the birthdate.Birth dates like 1/1/XX…..or……31/12/XX are common between fake accounts as it is quite unique and easy to type in.

7. Fake profiles of girls usually have a contact no. in their info. Lets face it,girls harldy will have their contact no. in public.So watch out if the user exposes info that is unlikely for general users to unveil in public.

8. Look out for recent wall posts,if u see loads of people asking…’THANKS FOR THE ADD….DO I KNOW YOU’……and yet the psots remains unanswered…it is bound to be a fake one.

9. Look for common tarits used in facebook,like.using applications such as farmville,pet society etc….and adding siblings.If these traits are not found among the user, the profile is highly inactive or fake.This point can’t single handedly prove the fakeness,however this will be a supporting clue along with other points.

10. If you are quite certain about the profile’s fakeness,and want to be absolutely sure, try browsing google for some random profile pictues. Fake profile pictures are usually selected frm google and while browsing through it,you might as well come upon the picture the user chose for the fake account.

So this was a minor summary of points to note while detecting a fake account on facebook.Thus beware of suck fake accounts which may lead to privacy dilemmas or likewise.Hope you people like the article and it benefits you in case you try to detect any suck profile…..!

Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account, and go to the profile of the suspected person.
Step 2: Download the profile picture or its thumbnail.
Step 3: Go to Google Image Search.
Step 4: Click on the camera icon in the search box.
Step 5: Upload the profile picture or thumbnail, which you have downloaded.
Step 6: Google search will give relevant links to the image.
Step 7: If it gives malicious links, the profile is fake.
